CELEBRATE CINCO de MAYO IN CHICAGO

Photo: Chicago Sun-Times

April showers bring May flowers, and also Cinco de Mayo! The 5th of May is reserved to celebrate Mexican Americans, their resilience, their culture and heritage, and their pride here in the United States. It is important this year to be conscious about seeing this as more than just a drinking holiday. Mexican Americans, and all latino and hispanic people, are under attack in this country! When you celebrate, however you see fit, remember how the tenacity, joy, and hard work of the Mexican Americans around you has so beautifully impacted your life! If you need some help deciding where or how to celebrate, check out this guide!
