312 DAY: ACCORDING TO AMÉLIA

Amélia here! I wanted to share a few words about our 312 Day Bash with you all! My involvement with community in Chicago has normally been confined to my time in drag, as Helvetikah Blak, but 312 Day, and my time at Do312 as a whole, has allowed me to connect in a completely different way! 312 Day is exciting to me because it materializes all of the hard work that the team does. Not just curating a list of events for you to all go to, but curating an actual event, free of charge, that you can all attend. It’s exciting to be in the position to meet, break bread, and be with you all. I hope to see you there!

• Hope you’ve made a restful pitstop, because Drag Race Viewing Parties are still happening every Friday night on the Northalsted strip! It’s warming up outside, catch the show out and about with the girls.

• Queen! is every Sunday in Chicago! This weekend, party America’s favorite drag king, Tenderoni, in the smartbar basement. Don’t be afraid to “Queen!” out!

• On March 20th, Metro and Lucy Stoole present Chicago Drag Melts ICE, uniting against ICE and raising money for anti-ICE funds. A night of sickening drag, from Chicago’s best, with all proceeds donated. Be an ally, get a ticket.
