Listen up, Chicago! You have a wonderful, beautiful, dedicated 28 days to celebrate all things Black! For my non-Black readers, your patronage and support is something that does not go unappreciated and is, frankly, needed. So gear up this February to celebrate Black History Month! Not only are Black people foundational to the queer liberation movement of the 21st century, they are foundational to America itself. So, tip a Black drag queen, buy your Black friend their first drink this weekend, and hold the Black people in your life especially tight.

Last week, North Coast Music Festival announced phase 1 of their 2026 lineup. We’re giving away a pair of 3-day VIP passes for a lucky winner to dance their little heart out to FISHER, Wooli, GRiZ, and loads of other favs. Enter away!

JUST ANNOUNCED

ALL-BLACK DRAG EVENTS THIS MONTH

Chicago is dominated by Black drag queens, kings and everything in between. From standing up for the drag scene against racism in 2020, to 3 Black Entertainer of the Year recipients (in a row), to producing the hottest drag shows and parties, and being the funniest, most distinct hosts on the Northalsted/Boystown strip — The Black drag artists come through every chance they’re given. And you should come through too. . . To their events that is!
